Honest Jobs (Techstars ‘21 / SXSW ‘21) is a VC-backed tech startup focused on helping people impacted by the criminal justice system find gainful employment faster. Our team has built a fully custom job marketplace and proprietary job-compatibility algorithm specifically designed for justice-involved individuals and fair-chance employers.

Did you know that 1 in 3 Americans have a criminal record and that 1 in 11 have a felony conviction? On average, it takes people 8.5 months to find a job after incarceration. That accounts for billions of dollars lost from the poorest communities in our country. We aim to reduce recidivism by cutting the time it takes to find a job in half.

We are looking for a full-stack software engineer, with expertise in .NET Core, database development, and building & supporting REST APIs. More than that, though, we’re looking for a problem solver, someone who is passionate & proud about building great software, and someone who wants to use their talents for meaningful impact & social good.
